Loads to do before San Diego

Sunday is the big day! I am so excited I can't even stand it. I am a little nervous too. I'm sure that I am not the only one that gets nervous when a flight is coming up. There is really nothing one can do about it but go on and suck it up. When it's your time it's your time. I can't spend my life in fear otherwise my life will pass me by and I will have nothing to show for it. Everyday is a blessing.

Anyway, I could ramble on and on about my fear of dying... I mean flying... lol. What an odd since of humor I have.

I have an eye appointment today to get my new contacts. Then I need to get home and finish all of my household chores. Make sure that Todd is ready for his trip next week. I have to make sure that all of the bills are taken care of for the end of the month. I still need to pack. Lucky for me I am released from US Army at 1230 today. Can't forget Casper... I need to get Casper food as well. He will be staying with his grands this week. His Grandma even said he could sleep with her.

My flight leaves at 5:34am EST from Huntington WV. I land in Charlotte, NC 1 hour and 16 mins later. I then board flight #1561 from Charlotte to San Diego, CA to land at 9:34am PST. Which means I basically have an entire day to do whatever. My friend Karen is going to meet me there. We plan on going to the Wild Animal Kingdom, the San Diego Zoo and to Sea World sometime during the week. We both bought a 3 for 1 park pass. We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad. Our hotel is conveniently located near an outlet mall that is so big we will have to hit it at least two evenings. Sometime while I am there... probably Monday-Thursday from 8-5 I need to go to my training course which is why I am going in the first place. Who needs sleep! How many times do you get to go to San Diego for a week and have most of your expenses paid for by work.

I am going to take my laptop with me so I will try my best to update everyone on my daily journeys as best I can through here. However my three best friends... Mom, Rach and Todd will mostly like get personal phone calls from me.

Love to all! Tah Tah for now!

  1. I'm so excited for you! And I'm sure Casper will have the best sitter in the world! I can't wait to hear all about it and see lots of pics when you get home! Be safe! Flying isn't that bad! Take something to read, an eye mask to nap or music to listen to and you'll be set! And take snacks! The treats on the plane are outrageous! Anywho.... take care, have fun & enjoy it! Love ya!
